AFF Club Meeting, Christmas Party

We hope you’re planning to attend our annual Christmas Party. The dinner starts at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 7;  the  general meeting follows, starting at approximately 7 p.m. The Elks Lodge is offering a $20 prime rib dinner. AFF is sponsoring a Christmas gift exchange, a gear raffle, a fly-of-the-month raffle and a discussion of ways to become a better, more successful fly angler, led by some of our club experts. 

If you’ll join us for dinner, please register (RSVP) using the registration link at the end of this email. We will collect your $20 payment at the door (this is a pass-thru cost to Elks Lodge). In addition to prime rib, the Elk Lodge will serve a baked potato, roll, vegetables, salad and dessert. 

For you members who haven’t attended the December meeting recently, our member gift exchange is a lot of fun. Just bring a wrapped gift costing $25 or less, which gets you a raffle ticket. We'll draw tickets to determine the order in which you get to pick a gift from the pile. The kicker is that Santa will have added several special gifts to the table. You might just walk away with a Sage reel, a Winston rod, or a guided trip... We just have to wait to see what Santa has up his sleeve.

We also have our Fly of the Month drawing. Just bring a fly (or flies) with you. You'll get a raffle ticket for each fly you contribute. Anyone attending for the first time automatically gets a fly raffle ticket. Winners will receive a collection of the flies tied by other members.

This is also  a good time to knock off some of your shopping by picking a logo item for the fly fisher on your Christmas list.

So come join us at the Elks Lodge at the Northway Mall (just east of Safeway) from 7 to about 9 p.m.
