AFF Fly Tying Contest

In 2009 Alaska Fly Fishers hosted the first of what we want to be an annual event - the AFF Fly Tying Contest. We have a huge number of tiers in the club - many of whom are exceptional. THe 2009 event was a success and this year we decided to change it up a little with more categories and limits on the number of flies any one tier could submit - thereby insuring that one really good tier couldn't walk off with all the marbles. We also increased the participation of the youngsters in the club with several categories specifically for them. Then we opened the contest up to tiers from the Midnight Sun Flycasters in Fairbanks. One of their members submitted an entry.
